Heritage Isle Cares + The Viera Company: Driving Change for Our Community

This summer, we welcomed a wonderful group of ladies from the Heritage Isle community to tour The Sharing Center. Their visit was filled with compassion, curiosity, and a powerful moment that continues to inspire us today. After seeing the work we do, they asked the question we love to hear:

“What can we do for you?”

We didn’t hesitate. We shared our greatest need: a refrigerated truck.

Why a truck? Because with it, we can collect more fresh food from local supermarkets, prevent produce from going to waste, and most importantly, deliver healthier meals to more of our neighbors in need.

Just six weeks later, Heritage Isle Cares was launched, and they went BIG!  Their community-wide fundraiser is working toward a bold goal of $15,000 to help make this truck a reality.

Even more exciting, we are proud to announce that The Viera Company has stepped forward with a $15,000 match!  With their generous partnership, every dollar raised by Heritage Isle Cares will go twice as far.

The campaign runs until November 20, and we’re inviting other communities, businesses, and individuals to join us. We are also seeking a third partner to help us fully fund the truck through donations.

Yes, it’s a big challenge, but when a community comes together, the impossible becomes possible!

How You Can Help

Donate:  Every gift brings us closer to putting more food on more tables. With The Viera Company’s match, your donation will have double the impact.

Spread the Word:   Share this story with friends, neighbors, and coworkers to inspire even more support.

Partner With Us:  Are you a business or community group looking to make a lasting impact? Join Heritage Isle Cares and The Viera Company as a third partner to help fully fund the truck.

The campaign runs until November 20. Together, we can make sure fresh, healthy food reaches every neighbor who needs it.
