As students head back to school on Monday, August 10, many families in our community are wondering how they’ll afford everything their children need to succeed.
At The Sharing Center of Central Brevard, we believe no child should start the school year feeling left behind.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, children will head to school wearing new shoes, carrying school supplies, and dressed in clothing made affordable through our Cocoa and Merritt Island Thrift Stores. Throughout the school year, our Children’s Weekend Family Bag Pack Program helps ensure families have nutritious food for weekends, while our Food Pantry provides the staples that help put breakfast and dinner on the table.
We’re also proud to partner with The Children’s Hunger Project, helping distribute thousands of Snack Packs to local elementary schools each week so children have food to take home for the weekend.
These aren’t just programs, they are opportunities. Every pair of shoes, every backpack, every meal, and every snack pack helps a child arrive at school ready to learn and gives parents one less worry to carry.
To everyone who has donated, volunteered, or supported The Sharing Center, thank you. Together, you’re helping children across Central Brevard begin the school year with confidence, dignity, and hope.
