The way people give to the causes they care about is changing. While traditional donations remain vital to The Sharing Center of Central Brevard, we are increasingly seeing donors choose other ways to make an impact, including Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), gifts of stock and endowment gifts.
Donor-Advised Funds in particular have become one of the fastest-growing ways to give. Recent industry discussions point to significant growth in their use, and we are seeing that trend firsthand as more Sharing Center supporters recommend grants to us through their DAFs.
A DAF allows donors to set aside funds specifically for charitable giving, receive applicable tax benefits when contributing to the fund, and then recommend grants to nonprofit organizations over time. For many donors, it offers a simple and flexible way to organize their charitable giving.
Gifts of appreciated stock may offer financial and tax advantages to donors while also providing meaningful support for our programs.
Donors can also consider endowment and planned gifts, creating a legacy that can help The Sharing Center serve Central Brevard for generations to come.
As the need in our community continues to grow, so does the importance of thinking about the many ways each of us can make a difference. Whether your gift comes through a DAF, securities, an endowment, a traditional donation or another giving vehicle, your generosity helps us provide food and essential assistance to our neighbors when they need it most.
Consider your options. Your generosity today can meet an immediate need, and help build a stronger community for tomorrow.
