There are moments that remind us just how powerful community can be, and the arrival of our new refrigerated truck at Heritage Isle is one of them.
What began as a need quickly became a shared mission. Our aging truck, essential for safely transporting fresh food from our Grocery alliance partners was no longer reliable. Replacing it was critical – but it was also a significant investment. That’s when the community stepped in.
Heritage Isle Cares took the lead, rallying neighbors, organizing efforts, and building momentum from the ground up. Their commitment and generosity resulted in an incredible $21,000 raised entirely within the Heritage Isle community. At the same time, The Viera Company strengthened the effort with a commitment of $12,000, helping turn determination into reality.
When the truck arrived in Heritage Isle, it was more than just a delivery, it was a celebration. A visible, tangible reminder of what can happen when people come together with purpose. This truck now ensures that fresh, nutritious food can continue to reach the families who rely on us every day.
