A Message For Our Community
Posted on May 7, 2025
The month of May finds our community at a turning point.
We recently shared that we were anticipating significant changes to our Emergency Food Program due to cuts in government funding. But thanks to your incredible generosity, through donations, food drives, and ongoing support, we’ve kept vital services running and our pantry shelves full. Your support is truly making a difference.
Now, even bigger changes are ahead.
Effective May 9, Daily Bread will transition to a mobile model and close their doors on Fee Avenue. Matthews Hope has also announced they may be forced to reduce services due to the loss of a major donor. These shifts are creating uncertainty for our most vulnerable neighbors, and the Sharing Center is stepping up to fill the gap.
We’re proud to serve as a one-stop hub for critical services: meals, food, clothing, showers, personalized guidance, and soon, mobile medical care in partnership with Brevard Health Alliance.
These services are essential, and they come at a cost. We need your help to continue this vital work.
Whether you’re a business, organization, or individual, you can lead by giving, partnering, or volunteering. If you’ve already joined us, thank you. If not, now is the time.
Together, we can meet this moment with compassion and strength. Together, we can make a difference!
With grateful thanks,
David Brubaker
