Join Us Feeding Kids This Summer
Posted on June 4, 2025

As we head into the school holidays, many in our community ask: What happens when free school breakfasts and lunches pause for the summer? Fortunately, thanks to the incredible community we live in, there are plenty of options to ensure kids stay nourished and healthy all summer long.
Here are four ways local families can access nutritious food during the break:
1. Visit The Sharing Center
Families eligible for assistance will continue to receive nutritious food packages from The Sharing Center throughout the summer. We’re also thrilled to include lots of fresh produce, with kid-friendly fruits and veggies, thanks to the generous donations we receive from our partners at the Greengrocers Alliance.
2. Community Kitchen – Open Daily
The Sharing Center Community Kitchen is open seven days a week, from 11AM – 1PM, we offer a set menu along with extras like juice, milk, and baked goods suitable for our younger visitors.
3. Summer Camp Meals
Children enrolled in Brevard County Summer Camps and Summer Enrichment Programs will receive free breakfast and lunch dependent upon location.
4. Free Lunch Sites Around the County
Under the Summer BreakSpot program, numerous locations will be open across the county providing free lunches for children and teens under 18. Check the flyer for a full list of locations.
We’re so proud to be part of a community that comes together to ensure no child goes hungry. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue supporting one another – this summer and beyond!
