Rockledge Wins Annual Cocoa vs. Rockledge Food Drive, Continuing 20+ Year Tradition

The Sharing Center of Central Brevard is proud to announce the results of this year’s annual Cocoa vs. Rockledge Food Drive, and once again, Rockledge takes the lead! With a remarkable total of 36,750 pounds of food collected, Rockledge outpaced Cocoa’s impressive 27,521 pounds, continuing a friendly rivalry that has lasted more than two decades.

City Managers Brenda Fettrow of Rockledge and Stockton Whitten of Cocoa shared good-natured banter as the results were revealed by Sharing Center President and CEO David Brubaker, highlighting the spirit of community and collaboration behind this event.

More than just a competition, this food drive reflects the heart of Brevard County. From organized food drives and Stuff the Truck events to local businesses and volunteers engaging shoppers at Publix and Walmart, the initiative demonstrates the generosity and commitment of both cities to supporting those in need.

The Sharing Center extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and contributed to the success of the food drive. Together, these efforts make a real difference in the lives of families across Central Brevard.

And as tradition holds, the winner’s prize is a lunch, Stockton Whitten will be treating Brenda Fettrow again this year. Until next time — Cocoa is already gearing up for a comeback!
